Deeves Hall, Potters Bar, Hertfordshire
Various garden ideas for a large country house. The proposed yew and native hedging was laid in an abstract design, integrating with the existing hedges to form a series of outside rooms. The maintained formality near the house gradually evolving into low maintenance naturalistic spaces.
A covered entertaining area is located on an island towards the end of the garden, outward looking and centred on panoramic views over farmland.
A water rill links the house to the entertaining area culminating in a moat around the island. The rill forms a journey through the garden spaces.
